ENTREPRENEURSHIP The process of designing, launching and running a new business, which is often initially a small business. Lead Resources has taken charge of the Entrepreneurship in Ogun State as we are
the Pilot Implementation Partner in Ogun State for startup loop, as part of the three pilot states (Ogun, Niger and Plateau) of the Business Training and Coaching Loop for Start Ups (Start UP Loop) adapted from the SME Loop, of the Pro-Poor Growth and Promotion of Employment in Nigeria Programme (SEDIN) www.sedin-nigeria.net, implemented by GIZ, an organization commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Budget and Planning. This is one of activities designed to support the improvement of business enabling environment and strengthening the entrepreneurial and business management competencies of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Start-up Business Training and Coaching Loop (Start-up Loop) is designed to provide guidance, training and coaching in entrepreneurial and managerial competencies, understanding of the business environment and business planning skills for start-ups. Through the participation in the Start-up Loop, potential entrepreneurs and business start-ups are guided through the preparing of a business plan and testing its viability. After the training, Lead Resources has taken it forward by organizing series of events afterwards to train entrepreneurs. The CBN Access to finance training was one of the training's organized among others before the loan scheme was transferred to NIRSAL Because of our recognition as a problem solver, Lead Resources was also a Content Partners in collaboration with GIZ and Federal University of Technology, Minna, to develop a technology application – SMEsabi (www.SMEsabi.com), an interactive learning platform for SMEs and start-ups, as well as anyone interested in business management and entrepreneurship. The website and mobile app foster new ways of learning: self-study at your own pace and guided learning with interaction with a trainer or coach. Furthermore, Lead Resources is working on collaboration with the Ministry of commerce and industry to help facilitate the Loan Process with any financial institution that is ready to support the cause. They take the interested participants on how to write a Business plan, Coaching and Mentoring and How to sustain the business.
